Directed by Shouryuv, Hi Nanna is the newest family entertainer released in Telugu Cinema that narrates an emotional story revolving around a father and his daughter. Infused with heartwarming emotions and a unique blend of humor, drama “Hi Nanna” is an emotional roller coaster ride that has universal appeal and can be enjoyed by all age groups. Featuring Nani alongside the talented Mrunal Thakur, the movie takes a unique route in exploring an otherwise overlooked father-daughter bond.

Plot Overview

The film Hi Nanna is a lovely outing that talks about a father-daughter relationship. Lead actor Nanias a caring father goes through an emotional roller coaster. Anyway, Robin is depicted as the character who looks after his young daughter unconditionally and wants to give her everything he can provide. The film follows their changing dynamic as they face life’s highs and lows while dealing with the emotional and social ramifications of their connection.

Mrunal Thakur‘s love interest character, meanwhile, builds a serious relationship with the father-daughter duo, leading to further complications in their bond. As the story develops, we understand that love, understanding, and faith are essential elements of a family.

The movie deals with several concepts such as steps to grow as a parent, emotional dilemmas, struggles of single parenting, and the bonds of family relations which are grounded in trust. As presented through its warm, tender snippets of life, “Hi Nanna” will surely impart a heavy message that would make both the younger and older generations ponder on their relationships within the family.

Heartfelt, Emotional Storyline

This is a movie that at its core dwells on the emotional quotient of relationships, mainly that of a father and child. The tale digs into the complexity of contemporary kinship, particularly the trials of single motherhood. It is a fresh perspective on family dramas in Telugu cinema given that generally, such stories are laden with high voltage emotions while this movie has a more toned down and mature narrative.

This could either be the heartwarming moments or the light-hearted comedy and drama that fills the movie, depending on how you feel about emotionally charged movies. However, if you love these stories which majorly center around the family then this Hi Nanna is the right amount of mix of emotions and humor that you just need.

Stellar Performances

Major Credit to the hit “Hi Nanna” should go to very well-adapted performances by the leads & even aiding actors. The main lead Nani in particular. As always, Nani grows from strength to strength and the actor once again proves why he is one of the most revered performers in Tollywood f today. His role as a caring father, trying to manage between happiness and sadness, is realistic and moving.

Even Mrunal Thakur shines through with her part as she effortlessly becomes a part of the story thereby adding another dimension to it. Her chemistry with Nani and the other cast members helps lift the film a few notches. The movie manages to carry a sense of emotional gravitas with two great performances.

A Fresh Perspective on Parenthood

A new kid’s film about the saddest of dads — not just a strong provider and protector, but soft and sensitive to boot — seems almost subversive these days, but Swedish director Amanda Adolfsson’s “Hi Nanna” is all the more welcome as such. Nani as a father figure here, probably the most under-traditionally-authority-weilding ‘dad’ in any film, is loving and kind and sometimes a little goofy.

It is a real glimpse into modern-day parenting where there are father figures who attempt to relate with his daughter on an emotional level. The film gets the father dynamic completely right, and as real-life fathers and children (or sons) on both ends of this spectrum in loving fellow hilarious holders of unstoppable anger at each other we can relate to that.

The depiction of the father-daughter relationships, especially being nuanced and layered as opposed to the mother-child relationships that are more talked about in Indian Cinema. What sets ”Hi Nanna” apart, is the answer to that exhausting question; in other words, it shows us a different side of the story: The perspective of the father.

Cinematography and Direction

Hi, Nanna Director Shouryuv does a great job by adding reality to the world of “Hi Nanna”. Arguably the craft in action stands tall apart from others because Sanu John Varughese’s cinematography is quite a refreshing one that lustres simple daily life with emotional good chunks. From a tender moment between father and daughter to an intense showdown, the images are thoughtfully composed to help bring these raw emotions to the story.

Narratively, the pacing is well mastered — having a rhythm that neither rushes nor drags resistance to emotional attentiveness. Shouryuv wastes time to develop each character effectively and hence expects the audience to feel for them throughout their lives. The script also does a lovely job of mixing in some lighter moments with the emotional stakes at hand, rendering itself far more relatableto wider contenders.

Music and Soundtrack

Hi, Nanna has beautiful music by Hesham Abdul Wahab– Each song heightens the emotions of the film perfectly. During some of the more moving moments, those heartfelt tracks are used to heighten the emotional element and help the audience relate to these characters and their stories on a different level. Similar to the film as a whole, the songs are simple and get right to the point, but they linger afterward.

The score is also very well-done in that it enhances those emotional moments when they need to feel more intense. Wahab’s music is another equally strong element in the film Hi Nanna but music Note Creek.
